On this week's episode, Stevie is back from the GDC with all the goods on the parties. Google wins with Mark Farina, as Playboy's party is practically boob-less. Dan digs deep into what the hubbub with HTML5 and gaming is, and your cohorts in crime take a look at the extended lifecycle of Call of Duty 2, and what Activision's monetization plans are. Dan's got the quote of the week, and both rock hard and heavy with the Alk3 in the music corner. All this and more on StevieFTW!

#33 Dan Taylor - Episode 33
Dan goes solo one more time, however this time due to poor internet connectivity. In an episode straight out of the Alps, Dan's talking Raptr, Verizon and Lucent at the Mobile World Congress, Zynga's valuation of $7 - 9 billion (and a possible IPO?), his appearance in a Macy Gray video, Apres Ski, and rounding out with a touch of good ol' fashioned Monopoly. All this and more on Stevie FTW!

#32 Dan Taylor - Episode 32
It's another solo week for Dan, as Stevie vehemently denies her super crazy schedule has anything to do with a certain credit card and things (or companies) they may have recently purchased (Gratz PlaySpan!!!). And since it's just Dan talking to himself this week, he's talkin' lots of Apple - from the upcoming iPad2 to rumors of Apple TV getting the gaming treatment? He also looks into what's up at Nokia, suggests a simple-yet-awesomely-entertaining iPhone app, and rounds out the show with a nod to perhaps the greatest Cellist that's ever lived. All this and more on episode 32 of Stevie FTW!

#31 Dan Taylor - Episode 31
This week Dan goes solo, as Stevie is, "Busier than a one armed wallpaper hanger," and the two transcontinental co-hosts couldn't quite connect. Dan's off skiing as you listen, and Stevie is hammering out deals like a mad man. On his first solo show, Dan talks to himself. A lot. He's talking PlayStation Move servers, sheep on fire, and cool things Sony and Microsoft are doing together, even if they don't quite realize it yet. All this and more on Episode 31 of Stevie FTW!

Ms. Stevie Case (aka. “KillCreek”) became a major presence on the gaming scene in the late 1990s, while still a pre-law student at the University of Kansas, when she joined the ranks of the Cyberathlete Professional League (CPL) as the first professional female gamer. After touring the world competing in tournaments, she threw herself into game development and eventually moved into the ranks of high tech management. Ms. Case currently lives near San Francisco and balances life as a mom with heading up Sales at a gaming technology provider. You can keep up to date with Stevie via Twitter or Facebook. |
Dan Taylor is a Digital Renaissance Man, with interests in just about everything that plugs in, lights up, or requires some assembly. An original dot com veteran, Dan started out selling 468 x 60 (remember those?) banners on a popular entertainment portal that was eventually acquired by UGO networks. A non-microsoft person, Dan favors the PS3 as his console of choice, and does his PC gaming on, of all things, a Mac. He currently lives in Vienna, Austria, with his wife and dog (listen carefully, the dog has already made a background appearance on a few of our shows) working as a consultant to various online companies. You can keep up to date with Dan via Twitter or his blog. |
Stevie FTW focuses on the high tech lifestyle, and explores how web culture, digital media, and the latest gadgets and games impact everyday life. Each week promises a new adventure for Ms. Case and her audience. Stevie FTW airs every Friday. The show's Executive Producer is Angel Munoz. |
